ABOUT THE FOUNDER
CARLO DOMENICO RINOMATO is an Italian-Canadian luxury architectural designer and builder. Rinomato develops and delivers upscale, minimalist custom homes. He has undertaken multiple luxury development projects around the world, of which the most notable are along the Adriatic Coast in Italy and atop the mountains of Mont Tremblant, Québec.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Rinomato’s work is inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright. Wright’s architectural design was based on puristic art and delivered design structures that were in harmony with humanity and its environment; a philosophy he called, “Organic Architecture.” Rinomato applies this same philosophy to his projects. He also incorporates Buddhist notions of being “one with nature,” and the essence of fashion, art, and architecture into his home designs.
CAREER
Generation Homes Inc.
Rinomato founded a company called New Generation Group in the late 1980’s. The company is currently owned and operated by his family members and remains one of the largest drywall companies in Canada. Through this company, Rinomato introduced the open-concept design and exterior stucco cladding to Canadians.
Generation Homes Inc. (o/a: Design Generation Homes) is a company that designs, builds and creates residential superstructures. The company has also developed many master planned communities in many areas of the GTA, from high rise condominiums, to commercial buildings, and luxury estate properties.
Rinomato revamped his business again, with a desire to pursue elevated living. He purchased one of many mountaintops in Mont Tremblant, Québec, with exclusive one-acre lots. Wanting to “build around nature, not on top of it,” In 2007, Carlo began to build his personal GLASS HOUSE, perched at the top of a mountain in the Tremblant region.
In 2016, Rinomato designed and built one of the most famous homes named HOUSE OF THE HILL. This unique structure was publicly captivated and it received numerous publications.
CURRENT PROJECTS
Rinomato is currently developing exclusive private residences on the north side of Mont Tremblant, in Lac-Superieur, on a street called Chemin Du Refuge. These exquisite, luxury chalets are integrated into the magnificent landscape of the region. Rinomato carefully designed these chalets, ensuring he captured the true beauty of the environment.
Rinomato is currently building a 12,000 square foot luxury residence named House Of The Woods among other specialty projects.
His company has currently undertaken the exclusive redevelopment of historic Italian Residences spread throughout the country. Inspired by Italian culture, Residenza Italia preserves the authenticity of materials of the villages while maintaining the artisan tradition.
The CARLO RINOMATO – MADE IN ITALY brand was formed with his personal touch of eccentricity, sensuality and alternative living and is now the basis of all his projects.
